Vetiver, pop. 141 million

Vetiver was a religious dictatorship and the arms dealer of the Petrichor Alliance, specializing in intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance systems. As Vetiverian researchers made breakthrough after breakthrough in engineering and cyber operations, Vetiverian clerics twisted the church's teachings more and more in order to justify intolerance toward immigrants (particularly from Tux), ethnic minorities, women, and LGBTQ people.

The dictatorship's hateful messages were communicated to the masses through a rather perplexing state-sponsored puppet theatre, in which red-faced (male) puppets pantomimed the apocalyptic consequences of societal evils such as extramarital sex, premarital sex, homosexual sex, and non-procreative sex (including masturbation).

In addition to weapons manufacturing, Vetiverian leaders prioritized force projection capabilities as a critical part of maintaining the nation's security. Vetiver therefore spent lavishly in order to maintain a footprint along Sel's border with Vetiver's greatest economic rival: Tux.
